For this project you will need:
  • a small Cross Stitch design stitched on fabric or plastic canvas

  • a blank, acid-free card form

  • small pieces of acid-free card stock or craft paper

  • craft adhesive spray, acid-free glue dots, or acid-free glue

  • Scissors

The design for this card was stitched from the Starry Christmas Tree pattern.
  1. Trim away the excess fabric or canvas from the small Cross Stitch design.

  2. Determine how you will embellish the design with the acid-free card stock. In this example, a diamond-shaped piece was mounted behind the design and small strips "frame" the design. Use your imagination.

  3. Lay out your design before you glue it onto the card. Experiment with the placement of the design and paper elements.

  4. When you are satisfied with the design, glue the paper and the Cross Stitch design to the card.

  5. Allow the design to dry.

  6. Choose a saying for the card. You may want to put wording on the outside too.

  7. Mail or hand deliver the card.

Optional: Adding glitter or sequins to the card will add a little sparkle to your Cross Stitch card.
