Transform a purchased Tote bag by attaching a small Cross Stitch design.

  1. Select a design that will fit properly on the tote and stitch it on plastic canvas or Cross Stitch fabric. Remember that the fabric count will affect the finished design size. For this tote, the plastic canvas was cut to fit, then the geometric design was repeated to cover the entire piece of canvas.

  2. After stitching the design, attach the fabric or the canvas to the tote by hand-sewing the fabric or canvas on or using adhesive or iron-on interfacing. The design on the model shown was stitched on 14-count plastic canvas and hand-sewn to the tote.
