Cross Stitch Tip - Nancy's Tip About Beeswax

Ease Needle Threading with Natural Remedy

By Connie G. Barwick, About.com

Nancy's suggestion about how to make threading your needle easier. She says, "If you will put bees wax on the end of your thread it will make threading your needle easier and the ends will not fray."

Another tip about beeswax comes from Eva, aka the Dragon Lady, Cross Stitch Forum Member. She warns against using beeswax with true metallic flosses because it may cause the floss to separate. If you do use beeswax in a project, easily remove it by placing the project between clean cloths or solid white paper toweling and carefully ironing it - the beeswax will melt and be absorbed in the cloth or paper towel.
