Carmen's Tip on Not Getting Bored

Start With Pleasing Part of the Pattern

By Connie G. Barwick, About.com

Carmen explains how she avoids getting bored with projects. She writes, "My favorite patterns are about landscapes and houses. They are really big patterns, usually 252 by 195 stitches. Sometimes I's get bored and was not able to finish my project. Then I discovered a better way to keep my interest on what I'm working on. I patiently do the counting to start on the part that uses my favorite colors, mostly the middle part. Once I have done my favorite part, I can't stop my self to keep on sewing to finish the project."
