Eva has several suggestions for how to make more time for your stitching. She writes, "Try to find a way to keep your stitching out, this way you can sit down and stitch for 10 or 15 minutes or more without having to drag out the stuff and set up, which eats up your time.
I have a floor stand, and cover my stitching with a
clear piece of heavy plastic, which I bought in the paint section of a local store. This keeps the stitching and threads clean while waiting for me to have time, and allows visitors to see the project. Of course you do need to teach children and pets to leave it alone.
Another tip, is to take a cordless phone to your chair,
so you don't have to get up to answer the phone.
If you have pets, cat and dog doors are great (don't work here in winter) and stitch when children are in school, napping or out playing with others.
Take a project along to the doctors office, the
dentists etc, anywhere you have to wait, a small project can be worked on. This gives you stitching time, and keeps your blood pressure down too!
