Jenkz shares how she gets around making French knots:
I have a cheat that works. Make a knot in your thread before threading the needle. Leave an inch or so 'tail.' Thread the short tail through, then use the longer end to lock in the position, and tuck in the ends as usual. If the knot needs to be bigger use more than one thread. I've used up to three depending on the design. I have rarely managed to make the French knot work the way all the books instruct. This works and looks really good!
