Linda submitted this great tip about keeping floss from a kit in order.

She writes, "When I get a new cross-stitch kit, I take the floss and separate it into colors and put each one in an envelope. On the front of the envelope I write the floss color and the symbol from the chart (and the name of the kit).

When I am looking for a certain symbol it is easy to find and the floss stays clean. If I have floss on the needle, but I am starting a new color, I put the needle in the top of the envelope and use a different needle. When I go back to the first color it is already threaded on the needle.

I seal the whole kit including my tools (needle holder, pencil crayon for marking chart, scissors, etc.) in a large Ziploc bag. Everything is in one place and it stays clean and is easy to find when I want to resume cross-stitching."
