Syd's Tip on Working With Large Pieces of Fabric

Use Bobby Pins to Help Manage

By Connie G. Barwick, About.com

Syd explains her method of managing large pieces of fabric. She writes:

When I am working on a large piece of fabric, I roll the sides or bottom or top, whichever portion is getting in my way, toward my stitching, but comfortably out of the way--a couple of inches. I then clip it in place with a large bobby pin (approx. 4") at the top and bottom of the roll.

The bobby pins cost and weigh practically nothing. Since the fabric is rolled, it picks up few creases but makes my stitching much faster.
