Margie's Loop Tip

By Connie G. Barwick, About.com

Margie explains how she secures her floss:

Nearly everything I stitch happens to require two threads. So I double one thread over, put the two ends through the needle, and pull the threads almost all the way through the cloth. When I push the needle back through the cloth, I also put it through the loop of the thread that I left hanging on the back of the material. I pull it snug and continue stitching. Presto, I only have to secure threads under a row of stitches at the end of those threads, because the beginning is secured with the loop.
