Marty's Tip On Stitching With Dark Flosses

Works Especially Well With Darker Reds and Greens

By , About.com Guide

Marty's explains her technique:

"When working on 22 count for Christmas ornaments or any project for that matter on dark colors I use 1 strand of floss for the bottom half stitch and 2 strands for the top. It takes just a little longer to stitch your project but the results are worth it. This fills in nicely and does not take up all the space available in the little holes in the weave of the fabric. This method still leaves room for any backstitching and also adds a little texture to the project.. It works especially well when working with the Christmas greens and reds."
