D Stafford's Gridding Method

Use a Water Soluable Pen and Disappering Marker

By Connie G. Barwick, About.com

D Stafford explains her method of gridding. She writes:

"I use two different marking pens - one disappears, and one is removed from fabric with water (and it removes easily on all fabrics I've used it on.) I grid the area with the water removable ink and use the disappearing ink to mark the stitches I'm working on with elaborate patterns."
