Rachel's Stitching With a Q-Snap Tip

By Connie G. Barwick, About.com

Rachel sent in this tip on how she uses a common household item to help make stitching with a Q-snap a breeze. She writes, "I have found to keep my tension tight on the fabric when using a Q-snap frame, I use a plain white paper towel sheet. When you snap the holder onto the fabric, put the paper towel on top of it.

Not only does this keep the tension on the fabric tighter (helping it to not move about so freely in your fabric) but it keeps you piece clean there while you are holding onto it. I cut the sheet into four pieces, but that is my personal preference. You do whatever feels natural or comfortable for you!"
