Marty's Tip on Substituting Floss - Cross Stitch Floss Tip

Marty explains how she determines floss substitutions quickly and easily. She writes, "I found a list of the DMC colors in a catalog. They were listed by depth of color as well as number. When I need to replace a skein for whatever reason, I can find the number of the floss to be replaced, see the color, then choose from that family by depth of color. I can also see what a complimentary color will be. Some catalogs list more than one brand and that helps in replacing floss."
