Robin's Lunchtime Stitching Tip

Make Stitching and Chatting Easy

By Connie G. Barwick, About.com

Robin explains how she gets more stitching done by working during lunch. She writes:

"I started taking my stitching to work to do at lunchtime. But to make it easier, I pick one color and stitch only half the cross at home the night before. I take two threaded needles and have no need for the pattern. I only have to carry my fabric, hoop, and needles in a zip lock bag. I can complete the second half of the cross without have to refer to the chart or to count. Instead I can stitch away and chat with my co-workers. Those 15 or 20 minutes help complete a project faster. (Of course, this doesn't not work with all flosses and all patterns.) The non-stitchers have no idea how I do it."
