I use my computer and my Excel program to make my own floss card for each project.
I use the upper cells to write in the name of the project, the name of the pattern book if there is one, the date I started the project.
Once all information is in the upper cells, I then begin to format the lower cells. I count how many colors I have and make sure that I am going to have enough rows to accommodate them. I set every row to a set height, one that can accommodate my handwriting. I then format the lower part of the form with enough columns to accommodate all I want to list.
I have one column to punch a hole in loop my thread through. I have a second column to draw the symbol in, then the number of the color, and finally the written name of the color. This takes up only one/half of the paper.
I have to fold the paper in half in order to punch the hold to loop my floss through it. This makes it strong, and it will not tear.
This floss card then goes with me to the thread store, or the online thread website. Either way I have all the information all in one area.
