Vicki's Finishing Fabric Edge Tip

Get a Sewing Friend to Help if Necessary

By Connie G. Barwick, About.com

Vicki shared this tip about how she finishes the edges of cross-stitch material. She writes:

"I serge the edges of my linen and Aida fabric before I start stitching. If you don't have a serger, zig-zag on your sewing machine, or ask a sewing friend to help you out. This helps to keep the cloth from fraying."
