Celebrate "Read Across America Day" on March 2. This annual project of the National Education Association began in 1997 and is set to be on around the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Stitch up a special bookmark and curl up with a child and read a book.

March 1st is St David’s Day in Wales,a day in honor of their patron saint, a Celtic monk who spread the word of Christianity across Wales in the 6th century. Daffodils and leeks are symbols of the day, but I prefer tulips to leeks, myself. Stitch the free Daffodils and Tulips design to celebrate the day.
