Tools and Techniques Used

This one was stitched on 14 count, using DMC, I think what made this one stand out was, the technique I used when pulling the thread through, I used a size 22 needle with two strands and an embroidery needle for the back stiching, and I also find when you need to undo a stitch, I'm not sure if everyone has a different way of doing it, I think I'm still learning techniques, I use a large needle so as the pulling the thread out lifting it its not stripping it as you pull it through and the large needles is gentler till you can get a good grip on it.

Advice

  • I've been cross stitching for 2 years now, everyday, it has become a lifestyle for me and I love it I have ones for my kitchen and my loungeroom, even made a leather book with yellow rose cross stitch as a cover for the front, and tasseled around the edges...
  • When I completed the Indian girl as she was my first portrait, I looked at her realized, like all of the stitchers in the world I also have talent, I could see the art and love in her and the deer, would never give her up, but I am wondering if there is a market out there for completed cross stitch...
