Why Did You Volunteer to Stitch?
I have never done a sampler before and thought I'd try something different and learn some new stitches as I stitched the free Day Complete sampler.
What Supplies Did You Use?
I used 11 count (15" x 18") Aida for the fabric, about 2.5 skeins of black (310) DMC, 2.5 skeins of Dark Coral (349) DMC flosses and 10 each of the black & dark red seed beads instead of the french knots.
What I'd Do Differently
- Since some of the stitches were new to me so I stuck to the pattern in the top section and on the bottom section I reversed the colors and I also used seed beads in both sections instead of the french knots.
What was your favorite part to stitch?
It was all so different for me, I liked it all.
What was your least favorite part to stitch?
If I had to choose it would have to be the closed chevrons.
How will you use this project?
I think I'll frame it and keep it for myself.
