This was another great opportunity for me to try my hand at a little design work of my own. Connie provides the framework and I get to color it in.
I used a scrap piece of Aida that turned out to be 17 count, DMC floss, Kreinik blending filament, EdMar rayon floss and one ToHo bead for the eye.
Advice
- When sketching in design ideas, be sure to use something erasable because you're bound to change your mind. :-)
- EdMar rayon floss is intended for Brazilian embroidery and has a strong tendency to twist. If you lightly steam the floss, it will relax into straight strands.
