Flower Wheel Two Cross Stitch Pattern designed by Connie Barwick and FREE on about.com. I added the Welcome at the bottom and chose all the colors.
Supplies Used and Project Purpose
I stitched this design on 14 count Carolina Linen by Charles Craft (color Salt). It's basically Aida but 80% cotton and 20% Linen - so its a bit softer than Aida. I used DMC color variations thread. This design was professionally framed by Joann Fabrics and now hangs in the entryway to my home.
Advice
- I started with DMC variegated floss but didn't like the look at all. I switched to their Color Variations thread and found the quicker change in colors that I was looking for. As this was going to be hung in my entryway, I decided to get it professionally framed. This was a good choice for me as I wanted the cathedral arch mat and would not have been able to cut it perfectly. Don't forget your coupons if you get pieces framed at Joann Fabrics.
