Name of the Pattern Used
I used Square #8 from the 9-square Back Stitch sampler and filled it in with cross-stitch.
Supplies Used and Project Purpose
I used 18-ct Aida cloth, DMC floss colors 208-211 for the cross stitch and 550 (a darker shade of purple) for the back-stitch. I used a #5 plastic hoop for stabilization. I chose this pattern because of its complexity, and had the idea to use several variations of the same color. I plan to make this into a cross-stitch card for a friend.
Advice
- I think this was a pretty ambitious project for me, in terms of filling it in with cross stitch. But adapting it and stitching it were a lot of fun. But it was also a lot of work.
