What I Created
Looking at the Duh One mystery pattern pieces, hot air balloons popped (lol) into my mind. The gray area looked like a cloud. So I just extended the round shapes, filled in the balloon patterns as I thought they might look and added the hanging baskets underneath. I did add another cloud.
Supplies Used
I used a blue 14 count Aida, some DMC floss and a 26 tapestry needle. I'm afraid I didn't use the colors Connie had suggested because I got so excited seeing the pattern, I simply printed it out and got started. I didn't read the rest of the post till a few days later. It took me about a week to complete it. Finishing the design on paper took about an hour. I just penciled it in and made a few changes as I went along.
Advice
- Although I'm not artistic by nature, this was an exciting project for me to try. There are still some changes I would like to make but overall, I'm pleased with the finished project. This challenge was very satisfying for me. I discovered I can create a little something.
