Gather materials: sewing machine, cutting mat, rotary cutter, ruler, sewing thread and 2 pieces of contrasting materials. (Select a material that has some body to it...not anything thin or flimsy.)
Cut 4 strips 7 1/2" x 2 1/2" and then 4 from the contrasting fabric.

Sew, turn, close the opening, and complete ladder stitch where instructed.

This is an "ORT" container....'old ratty tails' cut off your threads while cross stitching.
It is soft and collapsible for storage in your sewing box.

I used some fabric that came out of a "fat quarters " stack that I had purchased from WalMart.

- I learned the "Ladder stitch". It is very easy....not difficult at all to do the ladder stitch.
- The whole project is easy. Just follow the tutorial very carefully for placement of your contrasting materials so that it will turn out right.
