Mom and Me Forever - Cross Stitch Shop

New from 2011 TNNA Nashville Market.

Shop Name

Mom and Me Forever

The shop had its Grand Opening on Friday, February 13, 2009.

We just turned two on February 13th.

Location and History

130 W. Central St., Bethalto, IL 62010

618.717.0308

The name Mom and Me Forever is to honor my late mother. She was my best friend and taught me how to cross stitch. She even gave me the encouragement to stitch on linen. Now she is my guardian angel and her spirit is ever present in the shop.

Come to the shop and visit in the homey atmosphere. With plenty of space to wander around and look at all of the shop models, patterns, walls of floss, notions and framing samples.

Close to a major interstate/state highway (255) and only 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis, MO.

Advice

  • Change the look of a pattern by substituting regular cotton floss with hand-dyed floss from Crescent Colours, Gentle Arts or Weeks Dye Works. All of which are carried in the shop.
  • Gift Certificates are available, or how about a Gift Basket filled with that special someone's favorite designer pattern, floss, fabric, or even a few notions.
  • I have plenty of seating for the husbands that come with their wives. They can have a seat on the antique train bench/sofa or in one of the two chairs by the checkout counter.
  • Sometimes a special guest comes to visit - a service dog in training. Now that is a fun day.

What types of products and services are offered?

Hand-dyed linen and floss, silk threads, hundreds of patterns from very talented designers. Custom framing of all types including cross stitch. Lamps, magnifiers, beads and buttons are also available.

Is framing completed onsite?

Yes.

Provide details about classes, retreats, or gatherings.

First Sunday of the month is Stitcher's Potluck and the Third Wednesday is Stitcher's Nite. Spring and Fall Retreats every year.

Classes to start this Spring 2011.

Why come back? What is special about this shop?

By the time you leave my shop you will have gone from customer to friend. Everyone is welcome to come for a visit or to sit and stitch for fun. If I don't have what you are looking for, I will be more than happy to put it on order.
