We are a brick and mortar store located in the historic Hilton Village section of Newport News, VA. We have been in the same location, with the same owner for more than 32 years. We specialize in cross stitch, needlepoint, knitting and custom framing. We have also recently started a Facebook page for our customers to keep up with new merchandise and tips. We don't have an online shop, but you can contact us easily on Facebook with questions and orders.
In January, 1979, Sheila Rubin took a leap of faith and opened a small needlework shop. She took her passion for the craft and brought it to a community that has loved and supported her ever since. Over the years, that shop has grown from a small room to three large rooms, with a separate room for custom framing.
The store has stayed in business by responding to the changing demands of its customers. We've made many friends over the years, and have seen their children and grandchildren become stitchers and customers.

- Never stitch something you don't love. If it becomes a chore, it's not worth doing.
What types of products and services are offered?
We offer cross-stitching, needlepoint, knitting and custom framing. We take special orders and will mail anywhere in the USA.

Framing is completed onsite by a framer with more than 20 years experience.

We teach all our crafts one-on-one at your convenience. When supplies are purchased at the store, all the lessons and help you need are free.
